Beck. Midnight Vultures. On HDCD from 1999. Leave it to Beck to bring a banjo to a hip-hop party, and make it work!

David Gilmour (Debut 1978 solo album, housed in a Hipgnosis designed gatefold picture sleeve.

One of his best if not his best.

This is nice album, fairly "conventional" modern jazz with  immaculate playing. Tidal

Prince - "The Truth"

I know I've plugged this one before, (is that allowed?), but His Purpleness doing it acoustically is sufficiently different to be worth a listen.

Original vinyl. Why? I'm having a quiet evening and this seemed to fit the mood.

Bluesfest anyone?

Posted on: 15 July 2016 by nigelb

A recommendation from my daughter, and I am quite enjoying it so far.

More ancient vinyl

Why? It's smooth, it's relaxin' and it just fits my mood.

Solid blues from this guy, who quotes one of of his influences as Jimi.

You can certainly hear this in the title track..........recommended.

Spacey psychedelic rock sounding  as good now as it did back when it was released.
