What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XII)

2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

Ax/Kim/Ma - "Dvorak: Piano Trios" (1988)
Tears for Fears, Songs From The Big Chair, full of mood and emotion and brilliant live. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Czech-mate, a real winner. Two Czechs musicians (piano & bass) are playing jazz with a twist of their homeland melodies.

On vinyl.

Jimmy Buffett. Changes In Latitudes Changes In Attitudes. On vinyl from 1977. A well produced and recorded album from quite a capable musician and songwriter.

Bob Dylan. Infidels. On original vinyl from 1983. Still fairly new to this one. Some quick math tells me Dylan + Knopfler = great music!

Making Tidal earn its money this month, I have the studio release but not the Live recordings which is sounding good right from the off.

The UK version
Not his best album...

I should follow your advice, Tidal is for me something in the background to quickly check if I like a new album for buying. I am not yet using it as extension of my collection.
Thanks for reminding me that I should.

Ps he is still one of my favorite artists, while a lot of you might not like him for the way he plays. If you see him live and especially when playing sensitive pianissimo pieces......, he is in another league...

Hi Rob, I'd recommend Cyril Snear's next album - Riot Of Colour, if you don't have it.
The writing matured, but sadly they called it a day last year

Hi Denis...Thanks I have this one too, as you say sad as they were very talented indeed.

The Very Best Of Dire Straits. Sultans Of Swing. On HDCD from 1998. Some compilations have varying SQ within. This one has excellent and consistent SQ top to bottom, a great selection of songs, as well as a couple of energized live tracks. Plus, there's a nice bump in DR when played as a decoded HDCD. Highly recommended for the hard core fan or the dabbler.

Brilliant album! I think I even prefer this over Hejira, but given the band, perhaps that's not surprising. I adore this version of Amelia followed by Pat's Solo and Hejira. Truly gorgeous listening experience!!
A shame that the BBC concert of Joni at the Wembley Arena for this tour never got an official release.
Another run for this, prompted by Berts post. I prefer this "live" album to the studio versions of Kin and Unity Band. Tidal.

Thanks! Completely forgot about the existence of this album, it is playing now. (Tidal integration is great
)

Great musicianship on this album. You can clearly hear they worked Joni Mitchell's album 'Chalk Mark in a Rain Storm'.
Funky, driven work. Strange they never caught the limelight after their stint with The Revolution. A hidden musical treasure.
