UK first press vinyl - mono, to boot. Splendid songs, superb arrangements, fantastic SQ.

Great musicianship on this album. You can clearly hear they worked Joni Mitchell's album 'Chalk Mark in a Rain Storm'.

Funky, driven work. Strange they never caught the limelight after their stint with The Revolution. A hidden musical treasure.

Superb album - will give it a spin later, thanks for reminding me of its existence. "Waterfall" is one of THE great pop songs of the 1980s.

Mid 1970s US pressing, cut quite hot (which I like):

Elysium by Fields Of The Nephilim

Arguably one of the best cult bands around this time and certainly one of their best albums. A nice bit of rough after the refined confines of the Carnoustie links today.

This is a super new album, which I bought today following a very good review in The Guardian. I'm not always keen on Brad Mehldau's stuff, so I'm pleased I went for it. As the title suggests, it's very bluesy indeed, and a lovely recording.

This is a big step up for this Aussie from his 2 ep's.

Produced by Jim Scott and it shows.

Trying to get a hold of a promo of the album as if this is any to go by it maybe superb.

Contains 24 Hours at a Time live version which is classic Southern Rock.

The Cars, Heartbeat City, a classic new wave rock album and an old favourite.  24 bit Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Some more FOTN Goth-Rock required and this their penultimate album hits hard enough.

Rush, Power Windows, along with Signals the best of the modern Rush albums imho, and this 2015 24 bit version is the best version.  Last album of the night.  24 bit flc via Audirvana/Hugo

Friday's evening strings:

An astounding interplay (1999) completely devoid of high frequencies.  In other words, great music and idle tweeters. Highly recommended.
