2016 - Tidal...
Leaving aside the album, that's one hell of a photo.
Mike, the artwork is by a chap called Frank Maddocks and he's been responsible for quite a few album covers. Google him and you'll see what I mean.
I don't think the music is your cup of tea though. Just in the mood for something a little "punchier" tonight.
Thanks Tony. You've piqued my interest and I'll look him up.
My personal favorite by the Deftones is the White Pony. I'm not a big fan of the new one Not bad just meh.
I agree. Around the Fur is also a great album. Although the trademark sound is still there, they lost the rawness of early years and their latest albums are far too polished.
What did you think about Crosses? I had high hopes for it but it feel short of expectations.
I missed Crosses altogether. Just had a listen on Tidal and found it a bit too "hoppy-trippy" for my liking.

1996 - Tidal...
Celebrating the Olympic games in Rio. It's not all Bossa Nova, you know!

Whew, paperwork finally done...........time to wake up...........this...........LOUD! ![]()
MDS's post yesterday reminded me i've not played much of her earlier material of late so i'm making up for that today.
The music and her voice are just sublime

Now that's a proper Graemlin

Night Fades Away (1981 US issue 10-track vinyl.

Blake Mills - Heigh Ho.
Very well recorded album by an artist who is impossible to pigeonhole...........shades of SeƱor Cooder, Randy Newman etc...... Nice.

(1971)
Nice 40th Anniversary edition with worthwhile added bonuses highlighting the backing tracks, Poor Mohammed my particular favourite of these.

The up and coming Blue Pills album.

From the elder statesman of blues rock.
Streaming cd rip Wav First listen to this one and really enjoying it. A bit more metal influenced but still unmistakably that prog influence, good recording and mastering too.

A blast from the past..........is it just me, or is this a bit Rolling Stones?
Can't publish right now with photo's as my nice Telekom Provider changed it's technology and my internet and telephone are not working anymore ......
Anyhow just listened to the symphonies 101 and 102 of Haydn from Abbado with the chamber orchestra of Europe...
Now listening to Schubert Symphony 5 from also Abbado with the Chamber Music Orechetraa of Europe...
Brilliant posted:Randy Weston, Melba Liston - Volcano Blues, CD. Nice sound too.

Dave, I've a feeling she supported them at around that time. Will dig it out later and have a listen.

Why? Something reminded me about her and I hadn't played this in a while.

Brilliant double album of remixed 1970s soul / funk.
