2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
The Peter Wolf album above prompted me to give this album a listen. Todd Rundgren fans should definitely appreciate it.

A mix of understated but beautifully played of standards and original compositions.

Gentle melodic and ethereal, this ambient mix of electronic and traditional instruments is a lovely way to start Sunday morning.

Stephen Stills. Eponymous solo debut on original vinyl from 1970. A real blockbuster for its assemblage of musical talent and my favorite Stills album.

Tom Odell

Billie Marten

Second play (vinyl). This is beautiful music indeed:

Some early DS for Sunday morning. It's funny but it only been in recent years that I've come to properly appreciate Dire Straits' early work. I previously used to think it a bit 'soft'.

If you've not already seen it, imo worth having a look at the BBC's Arena film of the early stuff. Easily findable.
Enjoy Communiqué.

Their rather fine trance rock debut album.
