1997 - Original vinyl... A little  swingy blues on this lazy sunny early evening. Snake Drive is a great track.

I seem to reach for another dose of this lovely lady's music quite frequently these days.

One of my long-time favourite Phil C albums.  For many years I used to use this album as a test when demoing kit, particularly the songs Another Day In Paradise and All Of My Life.

On vinyl, stunning, still ahead of itself

2010 - Tidal...I haven't  listened to the Bros for a while and n particular this album. Escape Velocity is the highlight for me.

I think I saw this on another forum in a 'what was the last CD you purchased' thread or some such, so I thought I'd give it a go. Currently streaming from Tidal.

Very good SQ by the way.

One of my fave albums. Good for checking that your system isn't broken. There's some mind blowing musicianship on there.

UK first press vinyl, on Linn:

A Walk Across The Rooftops, was the album which precipitated my upgrade from RP3 to LP12 in ''86.

A CD I bought at Nerina's gig I attended in Portsmouth last week.  Gave it a right blast in the car on the night drive home and am now enjoying it's proper capabilities on my full system

I love that, "going from mid-fi to Naim-fi, experience", almost as good as an upgrade.

A Steve J recommendation - great jazz funk groove. Up really, really loud. Ohhh yesss....

Sure does sound good, on LP and Tidal. One of the best Bass players ever.

An excellent workout album, energizing, and very well produced.

John and Beverley Martyn - Stormbringer

Schooled as I was on Solid Air, One World and Grace and Danger, this is new to me.

A great album, with some very dark, emotional moments.

There is a double CD of 'A walk across the rooftops' some excellent tracks on the 2nd disc as the 1st! Hats also is available as a double CD, although I have not purchased it...

Dire Straits. Making Movies. On original vinyl from 1980. Only seven songs here but plays as an entirely fulfilling album.

There Is Only One Roy Orbison. Original MGM mono pressing from 1965. Outstanding SQ.

George Harrison. All Things Must Pass (1970). Remastered 2CD set from 2001. I'm always grateful George was able to rework the master tapes before his death, adding his personal resolution and clarity to what was already a masterpiece.

The 3 best versions I have heard are the original Japanese cd mastering of the album, the unreleased DCC version and the Hi res version from 2010 that was only available on George's own web site for a short time.
