Picking up on yesterday's mini Chris Rea fest, here's the three CD story of his fictional first and subsequent bands.
Starts off with "The Delmonts" who have a Shadows influence, then moves on with much bluesier Bluenotes.
A most original and enjoyable concept project, with Chris's usual high standards of musicianship...............a good listen.

And might as well continue with Chris ably demonstrating his ongoing love of the blues.

Jonatha Brooke - "My Mother Has 4 Noses" (2014)

Since we're having a slide guitar moment, one from the master.

Jerry Joseph - "April Nineteenth" (2006) live at Mississippi Studios, Portland.
Traction In The Rain - Graham Nash, David Crosby on BBC - September 11, 1970
Amazing what two acoustic guitars can do...so sweet and subtle.
Charles44 posted:SNAIC in the Grass posted:Jerry Garcia Band w/ Phil Lesh - Dear Prudence

Just had a look at this, thought I had most of Garcia's stuff but I don't know this. Is it available.
Thanks.
There's a link to a Garcia music website in the notes at the top.
First this because it is my favourite album from one of my favourite artists.

Then this because it is the finest of acoustic guitar playing, wonderfully recorded in a live setting....

Seems like there's much love tonight for slide guitar, so here's one from one of the originators.

Why? I fancied something relaxing and smooth, with just a little edginess.
