A Dream In Static by Earthside
My first go at this debut album and I'm enjoying it a lot. Progressive metal, melodic in style with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra aiding and abetting. Thanks to whoever it was on the forum that flagged it up.
I think I`m the guilty party......Glad your enjoying it Steve..Its a great album..a bit different in a good way and it has grown on me more over the past few weeks listening. I got my copy on Bandcamp

Many thanks Rob, I agree with your comment entirely, the album is now sitting in a virtual trolley waiting to be purchased on Bandcamp.

A change now with Tori in typically dark mood.
I haven't listened to this for ages but it is a real belter.
Just the thing for a Sunday evening. CD rip : WAV

Yes, Haim, I have that album too, and rarely play it. I was shocked to see how much one costs these days when I looked it up on Amazon.

Variously described as proto-rock, hard rock, psychedelic and acid rock this was an excellent debut album recreating all that late sixties and seventies heavy rock goodness.
On ripped vinyl. Rather nice, a new band for me :-

After spending most of yesterday afternoon reading Phill Browns superb book 'Are we still rolling ?', I thought i'd have a listen to one of my old faves that he had engineered.
Love the recording techniques on this album with the ambient noises of the English countryside in the early hours used as part of the soundscape on some tracks.
Magical listening.

UK first press mono. Friend of mine wanted to hear it. So far he thinks it better than the standard stereo.

Late afternoon grooves.

It's been a hard day...............unwinding to some nice ambient. ![]()

Enough of this ambient.............time to wake up................prompted by James N's above.
