That always "difficult" second album, this is simply stunning..................shame Eno left after this one...............never bettered, IMHO.
I was wondering what to play when I arrive home. This is it. Great album and the best they've made IMHO.
A+ | Transcoded DSD

(2010)
Modern melodic and atmospheric prog rock the way I (sometimes) like it and just what I'm in the mood for now.
On CD:-

Thanks for the Ferry / Roxy ideas - they'll get a play later ![]()
A+ | Tidal

(2011)
Lunatic Soul's third album Impressions.

Dire Straits - "Dire Straits" (1978)

Famously wrote loads of songs for Howling' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Little Walter et al, and was a mainstay of the Chess studio during the Chicago Blues era.
Here he is, performing some of his best known compositions, and it ain't half bad..............no, actually, it's brilliant.
German LP. Rock's First Lady of Leather, a trailblazer, ace of bass (for such a tiny lass, she ddn't half thack that thing about) and - along with Paula Wilcox from Man About The House and Magpie's Jenny Hanley - my first crush. The man at the wheel is pop svengali genius, Mickey Most.

Fleetwood Mac - "Say You Will" (2003)

Some great country / electric blues from one of Texas's finest.

1970 - Original vinyl...
Now, that's some sexy cover and the music, blues-psych, is not bad either.
Seeing German, first lady of leather in the comments, Doro obviously sprung to mind.
Some top notch tracks on this album.

Cracking album, especially a fan of the anthemic "All we are"..... gonna bung that on right now!
More 1970s pop genius, on a UK pressing obtained from a junk shop many years ago for about 20p.

Peter Frampton - "Now" (2003)
Revivalist '70s RAK Records pop on a 1975 LP. Yep it's Mickey Most again...

Ending this evening with one of the originators.......................must have been about 14 when I was lucky enough to see him live................package tours................six bands in one evening..............anyone old enough to remember them? ![]()
Here's an old clip from some TV show...............dubious quality, I'm afraid, but a class act, nevertheless.

1978 - Original vinyl...
They were so creative during this period that lots of material would not fit on this album so do they were released on Emotional Rescue and Tatto You(do check the B-side).
There's soul, blues, country folk, etc in Some Girls. The Stones at their best. ![]()
Kate Bush, The Whole Story, continuing the greatest hits theme with another favourite. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
