2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

First few times I played this it didn't really do much for me. But I thought I would preserve. Perhaps it's a 'grower'.

Fine piano trio music.....

Popular, but at the same time also enjoyable.....

Why Not

Classic

Bitchcraft's self titled dark metal, stoner and doom laden very heavy second album, hardly appropriate for this lovely summer afternoon but I was just in the mood for it. An early bandcamp download.

Another rock classic
A very nice album...

I don't like the last albums so much, but when listening it is still very good....

Floating away love it..

John Lee at his finest......................some chilled blues for a holiday Monday afternoon.

Great on a summers day

Staying chilled this Bank Holiday with some trip hop...............their finest album IMHO.

All over the shop today with music genres, Time Machine by Joe Satriani from when he had hair, a bit of a classic, "side 2 of 2" the live album.
Turn it up boys and girls!
On CD:-

Lambchop - Is a Woman

Great collection
Clark: Empty the Bones of You
Great loud and no one else in the house - fantastic experimental electronica with superb rhythms, break beats and textures - a Naim system with tight bass speakers just gets the timing and atmosphere spot on..

Agreed, he's one of my favourite Warp artists. Have you heard Jamie Lidell's 1st album? Far more experimental, totally madcap!
PS: listening to Neu! 75 on UnitiQute, very relaxing....

Having listened to one Steve Wilson album earlier today I thought I'd dig out another.

Another Classic on this bank holiday

Inspired by Simon's listening (above), this funky EP.

Taking the hint from BADLANDS above, here's one that Bruce's fans never quite rated................(no E Street band present maybe?)
As an occasional Springsteen listener, I rather like it. ![]()

250DR doing a lovely job of both separating and yet integrating the throaty and reedy sounds of each. Absolutely never heard this sound so 'present'. It's enthralling.
