Rush, Moving Pictures, IMO their best album and just as good now as the day it came out.  Slightly crackly original vinyl and still shockingly good.

1976 -  Original vinyl...

A bit of Jazz/Funk/Rock fusion...Zappa was right: the boy had talent! He has since gone to have several successful collaborations.

I overplayed this album back in the late 70s and have just rediscovered it. Little gem.

'Sweet Child' by The Pentangle

A relatively recent discovery for me and what a joy it is. I am especially enjoying the second CD which is a live recording.

Brian Eno - Nerve Net - Tidal, because I want to compare with CD rip, via jriver.  I've just finished listening to DEVO "Q:Are we not Men?" and want to listen to some more, noisy vocal, Eno produced music, before it gets late.

I walked into HMV in '92, expecting to get this album on LP. I Remember being very disappointed. Nerve Net only started to sound really good, after I bought the DAC- V1. (I've never owned a "decent" CDP.

This is going down very well indeed.

Klyde's mention of Nerve Net a few posts up prompted me to slap on this gem. On UK first press vinyl:

Dug this old platter out:

Why? 'Cos it's a bit daft and grand fun.

A+ | Tidal

As a proud owner of their self titled debut album, I didn't know of this anthology until I got Tidal, great bluesy rock with gritty vocals

Nice one Kevin. I'm listening to "The Pearl", by Harold Budd and Brian Eno now, on Tidal. Rather higher than "ambient" volume. Tape hiss and overdubs are quite apparent, and the insect sounds on "Stream with Bright Fishes", are as I've never heard them before. The piano notes seem to fade into infinity on this album.

Emily Remler - Transitions

CD rip to NS01 and streamed through NDS. I have long been an admirer of the late Emily Remler's work. She only made about a half dozen albums as leader and was heavily influenced by Wes Montgomery.  On this, her third album, she was moving more towards an individual style and very fine it is too. Nice contributions from John d'Earth on trumpet too. Highly recommended for lovers of jazz guitar.
