With the magnificent Jaco Pastorius.

Not sure which record that is.
But Joni managed to pull together a half-decent band for "Shadows and Light".
- Joni Mitchell - electric guitar, vocals
- Pat Metheny - lead guitar
- Jaco Pastorius - fretless bass (Fender Jazz)
- Don Alias - drums, percussion
- Lyle Mays - electric piano (Rhodes), synthesizer (Oberheim FVS-1)
- Michael Brecker - saxophones

One of my all-time favourites. Such a good record. I find this style of jazz much more accessible when anchored in melodies with which I am familiar. Brad et. al. use a lot of Nick Drake, Radiohead and Beatles. How can they go wrong?

Sorry - 'Don Juan's Reckless Daughter'. The one between Hejira & Mingus.

Finally managed to get a copy of this

… and so far I have not been dissapointed.

Slick...Too slick?... Still a good listen though.

(1995)
Some old Garbage cybergoth, fronted by the sometimes menacing presence of Shirley manson, just the job.

This particular CD has 57 minutes worth of music (3 pieces) extracted from their iconic Warsaw concert.
One of my favourite live TD albums. The remastered 2CD edition from Esoteric has 5 tracks including the 4 minute "Rare Bird" encore from this concert. Unfortunately it's at the end of CD1 but is not a problem if you're streaming and can re-tag the track numbers to play the setlist in the correct order.
Thanks SJ I might try and pick up the 2CD copy, the Esoteric TD remasters are usually good. I've another three albums worth of them in Poland via the Tangerine Tree but this particular live set was as you say very good and probably worth springing for again.

The new Adam Torres.

This is a lovely album, which follows nicely from Nick Drake.

My good lady is playing this in the other room

A bit of Mac to start the evening listening. I've always rated this album as a close second to Rumours.

Some mid noughties trip hop soul.
On CD:-

2nd solo album from the ex lead singer of Barenaked Ladies. Defo worth a listen for any BNL fans.
I've not played this for ages, and had forgotten how good it is. So long as you like jazz organ of course.

The Wallflowers - "Bringing Down The Horse" (1996)
