Delbert McClinton. I'm With You. On CD from 1990. Goodness! An outstanding blues rock album, oozing with soul and PRaT top to bottom. For a guy with a 20+ studio album discography, Delbert is the best 'least-known' Texas rocker I can think of.
Playing on Tidal at the mo'.
Great shout joerand.
I first heard of Delbert McClinton from the Bonnie Raitt album "Luck Of The Draw" where they do a wonderful duet. "Least known Texas rockers list" would be fun - add Joe Ely and if we ease off the "rockers" title a bit there are tons more too little known Texans (Townes Van Zandt, Guy Clark, Lyle Lovett, etc). There just isn't enough time for everyone to get to everything. But I (and I expect "we") will die trying.
Neil Diamond - 12 Songs
Glorious. (A word I use too often but justified here).

Just because I've fancied listening to a few Ozric albums lately.

Fabulous album. And well worth exploring her other albums, HH

Last one of the evening...............I've posted this before, but you really do need to give this a listen.
Some of the most hypnotic trance guitar ever, great songs, atmospheric desert blues.
Sadly, Rainer is no longer with us.
Not sure but I think that is Rainer Ptacek. You may already know but Rainer had links to a number of other artists including Howe Gelb, Giant Sand and I believe Calexico. I believe there is a lot of free music by all of them available at archive.org in the live music section. regards, Jeff A

The 3rd is such a beautiful sonata, I wonder why it's not recorded more often. I have the Zimerman recording from the early 80s, going to give it a spin err ... stream tomorrow.

Cheers Jeff,
I did know of the connections you've mentioned, but not about the free music available............will check it out in the morning.
Never understood why he wasn't / isn't more popular, this "best of" should be essential listening for all, IMHO.
Rush, Hemispheres, Rush at their most prog perhaps. Felt a powerful urge to listen to Circumstances. Plus ce change ..... 2015 version 24 bit Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

On vinyl...
One more Rush album before bed and this time a less frequently played one with Presto. 24 bit Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

On vinyl...
On CD:-

Harry Manx an official recording from his current tour that may get issued either as a Live album or DVD or indeed may not.
Can't sleep so this (quietly)

Music Inspired By The Big Chill. 3 CD set from 2006. A wonderful selection of feel-good music from the 60's, mostly R&B and Motown.

Thanks for the heads up Randy, Tidal have sixteen of his albums so I'll be having a listen.

Enjoyed the video, glad to see some love for Delbert here. I saw him circa 1991 in a club in Salt Lake City. Great on guitar and keyboards to be sure, and exceptional on the mouth organ. Really rocked the tiny venue. I picked up his CD after the show - only album of his I own. Would appreciate any suggestions for other Delbert albums to grab.
Tidal

(1987)

Bonnie Raitt. Luck Of The Draw. On CD from 1991. For my holdings, this was a natural follow up to the recent chatter on Delbert McClinton. I need to get more Delbert and have to get myself updated on Bonnie's latest albums as well.
Fine recording...

Joan Jett, Love Hurts, a little early morning listening to wake me up. Original vinyl

IMHO he has only made 3 -4 average albums and funnily enough I'm with you is one of those albums so if you like that one then there is a chance you will love one of those listed below.
Victim of Life Circumstance
Keeper of the Flame
Cost of Living
Acquired Taste
Self Titled
One of the Fortunate Few
Genuine Cowhide (the album that I started with)
Nothing Personal
Blind Crippled & Crazy with Glen Clark
Love Rustler
You could also give a listen to his first two Delbert and Glen albums and if you are thinking of buying one then Raven Australia used to do a comp of them.
Used to be that you could pick up most of his discs for almost next to nothing as he wasn't a household name. Shame as he has made some great music.
