Tanita Tikaram - The Sweet Keeper

A literary, chamberish, gently poppy start with coffee from my newly cleaned moka pot.

Gerry Rafferty, Night Owl, a nice chilled soft rock album featuring Take the money and run, along with Get it right next time.  Well worth a listen. Vinyl

Lou Reed, Transformer, slightly strange and challenging but brilliant album.  Really well recorded too.  Original vinyl

Tragic fantastic debut from Brooklyn based RockSteady quartet shortly after they finished recording lead singer Daniel Klein whose beautiful falsetto voice was the bands trade mark succumbed to a neurological condition and passed away

Freddie Hubbard - Straight Life  (CTI - 50th anniv. CD). Okay - wicked team here and so is the result!  Best on a system that can accommodate Carter's bouncy double-bass lines and huge dynamics. Soulf, funk, fusion. all of that jazz !

A well recorded live album from the Ozrics featuring some of their early music, punchier and more dynamic than their studio work, lovely.

"Underslunky works both as a live album and an early best-of, making it the perfect introduction to the surreal world of the Ozrics for the novice, a great addition for the fan due to the extended/altered nature of the tracks, a beautiful document of their early-to-mid career and one of its peaks, all at the same time." - A small extract from a Discogs comment, the full review can be read here

A classic indeed, my first "serious" girlfriend bought me this because she liked it, it got a lot of play. I still like to stream it once in a while.
