2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

Pink Floyd. Pulse. On 2CD from 1995. The performances, production, recording and mastering are all resplendent for a live affair.

I thought I should explore some more albums by The Gathering and this is a good place to start, where Anneke joined and brought her excellent vocals to what was previously "just" death metal, now they are for more interesting with a greater range and more progressive sound.
dayjay posted:Sheryl Crow, The Globe Sessions, female singers tonight and this is the last one before bed. Superb, really enjoyable album. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
Excellent album, David, and one I've neglected for too long. I must rectify that over the weekend.

Mid morning blast, from David Rodigan, UK's master of all things reggae, to mark the closure of London's Fabric venue yesterday
...............one of a series of "live" albums from the mixing desk.
Here's a review left on the river............says it all really.
"If you like your reggae, dubbed, dancehalled and dubstepped then this mix is for you."

Some more rude boyz reggae....................one step beyond.
Good, interesting trio jazz...

More from The Gathering (yet another double album from them), continuing with their softer goth metal years which I prefer to the death metal they started with.

Easing up somewhat on the heavy duty reggae posted above, here's one of UB 40's more "reggaefied" albums.
Just had limited exposure to it so far. Now a proper listen into it, good...

Signing off, with "Signing Off", for this afternoon.
The original, and best..............possibly?
