2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

Jack White - Blunderbuss (ripped CD)
and now... (ripped cd)

enjoying the warm late summer evening in the garden (windows opened ....)

On vinyl...
Air - Walkie Talkie
With a glass of red, some oatcakes and some nibbles. And I don't mean NBLs.

Had a short break due to a Telco, but I am really enjoying this one now, my system seems to almost be made for this type of music...

Because its a natural follow to Aenima, the Tool album I was listening to earlier, James Maynard Keenan moved the Tool sound in a slightly different direction with his "A Perfect Circle" project, once again it really hits the spot for me.
Maynard James Keenan here teams up with Tool and Nine Inch Nails guitar technician Billy Howerdel, Failure guitarist Troy Van Leeuwin, Big Milk/Camerata Tango bassist Paz Lenchantin and Vandals/Guns'n'Roses drummer Josh Freese.
An earlier album, in which their style is developing from more traditional into more modern jazz...

More old vinyl:

Why? It's prog but it's different.

They were innovative and very cutting edge in 1968 with their debut album and they certainly are still incredibly creative with this brand new release.
I was thinking about getting this Tony, you may have persuaded me...
Still can't quite get to grips with this one. Some very nice stuff on it particularly this track, but also seems to be unnecessarily "tricksy" elsewhere. Play their previous albums a lot though.

Kev,
I've listened to it a couple of times online and if you like their debut you'll definitely enjoy this one. They were well ahead of their time and continue to surprise. Only for the discerning ear though. I'm sure you dig what I'm saying!![]()

Why? It's time for more classic vinyl.

I love the first two albums so I'll go for it...
Because I've just watched "Cold Feet" it got me in a Mancunian state of mind ![]()

Led Zep, Remasters, mainly because I can't be bothered digging out Led Zep 2 and 4, but this is a decent collection. Vinyl
