This one doesn't come out to play enough, so rectifying that this afternoon.

Final one of the afternoon, in memory of Prince Buster, who passed on yesterday, and inspired a host of UK bands in the 80's
Rest in Peace.
Not as good as expected, a bit too much trying to mix styles and be modern...., while not being as strict as Robrt Glasper, hike his other albums are more traditional and very good...

Looks like a mixed album on the first listen, some interesting stuff..., but also some less exciting stuff...

Just finished putting the final touches on cleaning up the back garden after our hurricane (Hermine) .. the power is back on, the beer is cold again .. this is a perfect album to rock to .. all's well.

Tidal. Beautiful & moving.

One of my favourite Riverside albums made all the sweeter by finding out they have a new album release "Eye Of The Soundscape" due on 21st October.

Sounding really good cranked up loud, ripped from an old CD I've yet to catalogue fully.

Just love some of the tracks on this one !

Why? I'm just settling in for a week off and this is starting it nicely.

Thank you to those that recommended Dan Arborise - Of Tide & Trail
He strikes me as a clean-living John Martyn, as befits our time.

I think the last time I listened to that album was prompted by my watching the movie of Iron Man
This is a marvellous album - opera music in an ambient Electronica way, with jazzy bits too. It sounds rather dodgy, but is just brilliant. Give it a go if you don't know it already.

Why? Time for some quality female vocals.

Such a beautiful voice this lady had.
