CW does a brilliant version of Van Morrison's "Tupelo Honey" & the Ann Peebles classic "I Can't Stand The Rain" on this excellent sounding 1993 CD.

Erich, I would have thought that this was a gold-plated standard, and that no-one on here would be without it. Just goes to show, one can never assume anything. I hope you enjoyed it.
There's this too. Listening to it now. Stunning record that should be a part of everyone's collection.

The Black Crowes. Southern Harmony & Musical Companion. On CD from 1992. I'm a newcomer to the Crowes' music and recently bought a half dozen of their CDs in rapid succession. This one is my favorite.

CSN&Y. Deja vu. An early Atlantic vinyl pressing from 1970. This is comfort food for the ears to us baby boomers.
Michiel Borstlap the Album 88. Michiel has been involed in quite a number of good recordings. It's very groovy but at the same time also very good melodies.

Just a sample of two heavy, bluesy, heavily riffed stoner rock tracks by Holy Grove Live at Jooniers. This was a forerunner to their very good eponymous debut album earlier this year. https://f4.bcbits.com/img/a0054261520_10.jpg

From a fine sounding original 1984 Fantasy label CD where I have dropped into the playlist an additional 11 minute version of Heard It Through The Grapevine from a different CD of theirs.

I think that all his albums are good Nick if you get a chance to listen to them.

Fernwood followed by Funeral Funk 49 both by Heron Oblivion.
A total of about 30 minutes worth of late 60s/70s sounding rock based psychedelia from the band who seem to have nailed the early sound of this genre. Two singles released via bandcamp last year where you can hear the beginnings of how their excellent debut album (released in March) was crafted.

Renee Stahl - "Hopeful. Romantic" (2008)

On CD:-

Moving into the laid back kind of music....

God Help The Girl - "God Help The Girl" (2009) always grateful to M0OMO0 for the recommend.

Just got in, so winding down with some mellow blues from the ever reliable Keb' Mo'..........highly recommended.
