Rosanne Cash  -  "The Essential ....."   (2011)  I love this lady's songwriting and voice and the contributions of her husband, producer and master musician John Leventhal.

Gently does it - toe in the water, back out, foot in the water etc.  Been busy running Ethernet cables today and needed the comfort of some more  familiar musical ground.  Plenty of time ahead (I hope) for further prog travels

I'll join you with this one Jeff - haven't played it for ages.  Sounding fresh.  CD rip.  Plus it stops me having to listen to more of that prog stuff for now  (hope Clive's not listening)

Some ambient longform dronescape to act as a relaxing background filler while I get on with some tasks.

Thanks Stevee_S.  Ambient Sleeping Pill iradio is still down, and I'd forgotten about Cousin Silas. Time to send him a few quid via Bandcamp, I think. Some of the other ambient radio channels are simply awful, especially the U.S ones, not at all tranquil or restful.

I'll get off to sleep peacefully tonight.

I hope it does the trick for you. His solo work and also when working with Kevin Lyons are worth looking out for. From your comment, you know your way around Bandcamp however here is a link to his recording label (weareallghosts) and their discography where his and some other like minded ambient electronic artists are gathered.

Steve

Thanks again Steve, I'm heading for weareallghosts, right now.

LOUD..................say no more.

Posted on: 19 September 2016 by Bert Schurink

Had a small piece off this before the movie and was sufficiently interested to put it on my list of for instensive listening, I have also already more music of the trio....., looks like a good album, based on the sampling....

Posted on: 19 September 2016 by Bert Schurink

Haven't heard this for a while, requires a more focused listening as it's no background type of listening. But when you invest the attention ......, rewarding.....

One of my regular plays. Slow-paced, smooth and melodic. Lovely. A wonderful de-stressor at the end of any busy day.

Posted on: 19 September 2016 by dave marshall

Phew, time to calm things down a little, (see previous two posts)................and what better than this, one of  Studio One's finest.

Posted on: 19 September 2016 by MDS

Another album to relax to after a stressful day. At this rate I'm going to need a dose of AC/DC to wake up me up again!

This -

MDS reminded me i've not played any RLM lately so this is lined up next in my playlist

Posted on: 19 September 2016 by dave marshall

Nah, time to wake up again............LOUD!

Saw these at Leeds earlier this year...................reassuringly LOUD then too!
