2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
Now see what you've done, I've just been shouted at to "turn that rubbish down!"

That's better
.
Some of this for me, inspired by earlier playing of his latest album which is excellent. 1990 - CD rip .
Edit - Good grief I bought this CD 26 years ago ......

Well, at least you seem to be getting over the prog rock thing.
Nighty night. ![]()
Goldfrapp - Supernature
Maybe not quite as loud as the rest of you. But swinging ma pants, nonetheless.

Finally signing off with some late night British dub.
I've posted this before, but I really urge everyone to have a listen to some sleeeeepy sounds.
Bye.
Beethoven, Moonlight Sonata, I don't do classical music, find most of it boring but one or two pieces, including this, Fur Elise and Tocata and Fugue just astonish me in how much emotion and power there is in them. Just beautiful. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
On vinyl.
Tool-10,000 Days

This is very good indeed. A stunner.

The darlings of the British Goth scene. More pop than goth really. Still, some tracks do put a smile on your face.
That's a truly fantastic compilation of their earlier singles, though they'd never accept the goth categorisation, and I'd agree with them.
Agree. One of the classic compilations. Disarmingly simple, clever and just very, very good (and not goth).
The Marcus King Band-Soul Insight

Feat a young Ronnie Earl

Cosmo's Factory (1970). CCR. 40th Anniversary CD from 2008. Sonically a bit crowded relative to the original vinyl, but this CD has some excellent bonus tracks including a jamming "Born On The Bayou" with Booker T & the MGs featuring some hot amps and a nice level of feedback.

IMHO his best album and great sq.

Some gentle sounds to accompany a lovely sunny morning.
Bronco featuring Jess Roden - Country Home and Ace of Sunlight on BGO. I liked these in the early 70's as they were a bit different to the usual rock. Not sure now though, not quite up to it perhaps.

Is that a mono version of the album if not try and get a copy as it is far better than the stereo version?
Hi Ewemon! Yes the mono 1968 release is better as i read in other places as well. This is the Bear Family stereo 180 reissue. They made i very good job imo.
Thanks!
A fine album that i've not played for a while.
Not only great music but fabulous production too.

Time for a bit of old bluesy psychedelic rock that will be half a century young next year. ![]()

Pete Yorn - "Arranging Time" (2016) Of the new releases I have heard this year, this is a personal favorite.

Damien Jurado - "Visions Of Us On The Land" (2016)
Heard a track from this chap at the Statement demo on Friday (can't remember which one). Delving through Tidal.
