2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
Last album of the evening, Cinderella and Long Cold Winter, long hair, lots of leather and the brilliant Bad Seamstress Blues, excellent. Original Vinyl,

Dave Matthews Band - "Away From The World" (2012)

Last for tonight.

Imogen Heap - 'Ellipse" (2009)

Ordered in August, finally arrived today.

CariocaJeff posted:Paul Simon - Stranger to Stranger - on vinyl. Was reduced today at my local HMV. Good music, but struggle to see this was a brand new, unused copy. Covered in dust and other crap including a lump of fluff that looked like it had come of the end of a needle when the arm was lifted. Cleaned with RCM but it may still go back.
Enjoying the music, some clever tracks, and some typical Paul Simon and a nice mix of styles!
My US vinyl was fine as far as pressing. Great music as you say. My complaint was the heavy (sub)bass compression. I found the low-end bass guitar and deep percussion difficult to distinguish between - they merge into a non-descript room energizing sonic. Not pleasing to me but maybe that's the modern music expectation?
