Another noisy, classic album.

Brilliant album, if it make you happy.....

Always brings back memories, and puts a smile on my face.

In earlier issues on CPO Weithaas presented us with some of the best recordings ever of the famous first and less famous second concertos. Now, luckily for us, she has recorded the obscure third concerto - which turns out to be pretty good. As before, Weithaas is super charismatic in this music. Sound is very good, too  (I listened to 16/44 on CDR).

cheers

Blondie meets punk rock.......................seeing these at Leeds on Saturday....................should be noisy!

Great band. I only have Keep On Your Mean Side on CD and haven't listened to it for a while. They sound absolutely mental and I'm sure they are even better live. Enjoy the concert.

Tony, I can't see from your profile whether or not you are likely to have access to Tidal, but all their albums are available there.

Can definitely recommend this one, "Blood Pressures".................................mental indeed!

Yes,  I do have Tidal HiFi and I'm istening to Blood Pressures now.  Thanks for the recommendation.

My first and still my favourite Beatles album. As my system has improved more and more of the talent in the album has revealed itself.

First proper listen, and liking this. Seeing her at the Sage, Gateshead in a few weeks time. Should be good.

Her music sometimes is a bit of a circus act, but an enjoyable circus act...

A+ | Transcoded DSD

(1959)

Not someone I play very much at all, this one ripped from a fine sounding 1985 CBS CD.

David Ellias, Crossing, one of the best adverts for DSD I've heard, superb recording and excellent music.  DSD via Audirvana/Hugo

Something a bit more up beat, good solid blues rock from a very talented lady

I remember watching this on TV and being so envious of those who were there.  Years later I had the privelage of seeing them live with the Everley Brothers supporting them and it remains one of my stand out concerts.  Just brilliant.

2014 - Tidal...

British folk/blues. Surprisingly good recording. I had a copy of Fully Qualified Survivor and heaven knows where it's gone. Great stuff.

I saw them in Sydney when they were effectively touring this album. Remains one of the great concert disappointments of my life. We saw them on the second night. A set of speakers had been hastily installed half way back to allow lower sound levels due to resident complaints the night before. The repeat speakers weren't time-delayed, so the whole concert was subject to a half-second "echo" at our location. Virtually unlistenable. I guess the promoters had our money so didn't give a toss.

Is there a version of the Central Park recording where the 50hz mains buzz in the P.A. that impacts the original recording has been scrubbed out?

+1. An incredibly layered and textured sound on every track. Any format or re-issue I have seems to wring out different nuances in the mix. Even a cartridge change on the same old LP or listening by HPs can bring a new appreciation. The isolated vocals on "Because" from the Love album is spine-tingling and highlights the strength of George's contribution to the Beatles' harmonies. Probably the most recognizable and iconic album cover as well. I could go on, but I'm heavily biased as my avatar indicates

The Tidal frustration multiple drop outs on my Muso so switched it to AirPlay with Qobuz, flawless...

Mark Knopfler. Sailing To Philidelphia. On HDCD from 2000. This album is a newbie to my collection and great for a pensive listening mood.
