George Harrison. Early Takes Volume 1. On CD from 2012. High quality demos primarily from the "All Things Must Pass" sessions. Great stuff for a George aficionado. Fantastic cover shot. I'm eagerly awaiting the apparently forsaken Volume 2 as well as Volume 3. C'mon Olivia, Dhani and Giles.

A+ | Transcoded DSD

(1983)

Beautifully played and well recorded, the opening track sounds quite apt (to me) as a sunny autumn day begins.

Unsurprisingly 'Yello' in sound signature but mellower than the usual output. Some of the tracks remind me of early Massive Attack which is no bad thing. Great album.

Giving the speakers a pounding with a first listen...............................brilliant.

You've just reminded me to purchase this (along with Boris Blank 'Electrified' for good measure)

A bit of Hawkwind whilst I'm stuck at home puppy sitting.  Reminds me in some ways of modern trance music early Hawkwind, repeated rhythms and themes with occasional sounds projected over the top.  Probably listened to back in the day under a similar chemical influence too.

If you like Clapton, this is a must have.  "Live In San Diego - with JJ Cale" is the best live performance of his that I've heard.  His guitar seems to have something a bit special, hard to say, but maybe he's gee'd along with the rest of the band & guest JJ Cale,  the band includes Derek Trucks, Doyle Bramhall & Robert Cray,  say no more !!!

Buying tip for downloaders - HighResAudio have it in 24/48 @ £13GBP The others have it in 24/96 but the price is a lot higher.

There's been so many folks eagerly awaiting this, their first new release since 2009, and blimey, it doesn't disappoint.

The music is reliably bonkers, and, as you say, the sound quality is, as ever, astounding.

Oh........Yeah, right enough.
