2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

1971 - Original vinyl...
A very playful and cheerful album to warm the cockles of your heart on this not so nice morning. Morning everyone!![]()

1975 - Original vinyl...
The band of the bands. Very influential and well respected by their peers at the time.

Earth Wind & Fire - I Am
24/96 Flac

Stunning album
Stevie Wonder - Songs In The Key Of Life
24/192 Flac
A little more Indian than the preceding Shakti release:

And now moving on to this. Not my favourite Miles, but maybe that's just because I haven't given it enough time. Actually it's now making more sense, sounding rather more enjoyable than last time I played it.

Prince - Around The World In A Day
On Vinyl

Afternoon Tony, it was a beautiful morning here and so it continues... great album.

Yesterday's bargain arrival (thanks Clive). CD rip. Sounding very nice indeed.

1973 - Original vinyl...
Sun is out. That calls for a bit of Purple.![]()

Off to see The Kills at Leeds Beckett this evening, so just getting in the mood. ![]()
After a long lay-off following guitarist Jamie Hince's serious hand injury, this is a fine return to form.

Pink Floyd - Meddle
On Vinyl
Vinyl for a wet afternoon

Yet another very nice one I picked up from here. As the title suggests, it's kind of cool.

Yello - Toy
24/44 Flac
Original Vinyl

Lot of new releases around at the moment. This one is going to take a bit of getting used to - quite a departure from his previous albums. Lots of synthesised voice effects.

Supertramp - Crime Of The Century
24/192 Flac
Following SJBABBEY's earlier recommendation. Tidal

Grace Jones - Nightclubbing
24/96 Flac
Rod Stewart - Foolish Behaviour - hi-res streaming from the HDX - one of his better albums, some dross on it but also some great stuff. Must be close to being my most played Rod Stewart album nowadays.
