Thanks Dave - I have to thank Nigel Finn from Chord and his music reviews in 'Critic for this gem.
You've just made my decision on what album to play next a lot easier ![]()

And their "In the Heart of the Moon" is equally good!

Sara Watkins - "Young In All The Wrong Ways" (2016) a personal favorite from this years releases.

3. It's All Over Now
4. The Last Time
5. Heart Of Stone
6. Not Fade Away
7. Come On
8. (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction
9. Get Off Of My Cloud
10. As Tears Go By

Earlier on I just typed 'ECM' into Qobuz to see if anything ticked my fancy, and I found this. I really like all the musicians' stuff and had never heard of the album, so I bought it. And it's absolutely great, very mellow, and with lovely interplay between the alto and trumpet. It's nice to find something so good on the off chance.

Super compilation that Graham, I must 'fess up to buying the 1966 mono back in the day and played it to death. Brings back great memories just seeing that album cover, thanks!

That's a nice album H. I bought that on CD when it was released - probably on the strength of a Grauniad review. It's been played a lot over the years round these parts - like you say very mellow.

Loreena McKennitt - The Book Of Secrets
On CD
Moon Shaped Pool - Radiohead Deluxe Special Edition on Vinyl.
Been listening on CD from the download when the original order was placed, but not a patch on these lovely slabs of vinyl that finally arrived yesterday. Totally immersive. So much more detail.
Ancient vinyl

Why? He doesn't get the spins he deserves.

The voice is well faded but that just adds to the album. Loved the whole of the American series.

Great recommendation from spurrier sucks......................thank you.
Back at you with this guy.

Quirky New York Bluesman, not for the traditionalists, but I like him.

I also bought it on release and have played it many times - I do like Kenny Wheeler, and enjoy the sound of the flugelhorn ( wish I could play like that !)
