Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
Quite a step change from 'It's my Life'. A fantastic, timeless album.

Anyway whilst it's finishing what it's doing i've got this classic cued up on the Melco
This arrived today as a secondhand cd for £2. What a wonderful album, recorded to two track tape in 1953.

This is a stunning solo album from the wonderful John Taylor. It's a great recording, and as real a piano sound as I've heard for a while.

I'd love this hear this on the main rig. Alan Curtis was an underrated Handel conductor, never flashy, but with a lot of longevity.

The singing, especially in the duets, is really lovely. I don't need to know why you cannot play it on the main rig, but it's something to look forward to when you can. A beautiful album.

Steely Dan. Katy Lied. On the original rainbow label ABC Records vinyl from 1975. I like Dan's earlier music and this, their fourth album, is right in the band's wheelhouse for my tastes. Superb SQ a given.
That's my favourite Dan album, and I used to have the original 1975 pressing too. It never seemed to get the critical recognition that some of the others received for some reason.

Thanks HH - there is no particular reason why I cannot, just a combination of too much quality time at work and not enough quality time at home.
