If we're talking Floyd covers, there's none better, or more bonkers than this one.
A great workout for the speakers.
Available on Tidal.
I am sure that you then also like :
These are great fun and like you say, certainly give the speakers a workout - thanks for the recommendations chaps.

Super (Live) album Ewen, I was at Fairfield Hall for the tracks recorded there a great night. Slotted it into the playlist for tonight after The Doors.

Time for some early psychedelic acid rock, this one a Qobuz download.

Wish I had been there. Saw them twice myself. They were one of the best bands I have ever seen and also one of the worst.

Yep, when they were good (Iive) they were great, when they were bad they were awful.

Kicking off Friday evening with some quality blues..................two performers so comfortable with each other..............most enjoyable.

Wesley Stace - "Self-titled" (2013) folky artist, for many years performed under the moniker John Wesley Harding and more recently under his birth name.
Very groovy ...

Sounds like a beard.

Because I heard of the premature death of a colleague today and it reminded me of Eva Cassidy who was taken from us at the age of 33 and this has put me in reflective mood. This is stripped back, just Eva and her acoustic guitar and it is simply lovely.
Its on Tidal.
Signing off with some classic blues from the great Buddy Guy.
He's always been known every bit as much as a sidesman with other folks, as for his solo work.
Here, some well known faces repay the debt by joining him on these two albums.
Ably assisted by Messrs. Beck, Clapton & Knopfler.
Featuring, among others, Beth Hart and Gary Clark Jnr.
Both well worth the listen.

Glad to say the one and only time I saw them live - Portsmouth Guildhall - they were awesome. They played at much lower volume than most of the bands I saw at the time and were much the better for it. The music really flowed. A very fond memory.

And I was in Sunderland ( the Locarno I think) for the other tracks. Great band live. Was at a Free concert at Newcastle city hall, a couple of years later which started great, but suffered a power cut so was cut short.

If this album was the first time anyone heard Mary Black they would find it hard to believe her folksy background. Good though.

Prompted by seeing this lady perform on a recent Jools Holland TV show.

I'm a big Mary Black fan, I worked for a cmpy based in Galway for many years & spent a fair few nights listening to some great irish folk (& rock) bands. One night I dropped into a country pub a few miles outside Galway that always had a casual band of some sort playing in the corner. Also in the bar was Mary with Dolores Keane, having a quite drink - Dolores had a bar beside the docks in Galway - anyway, after some persuasion they sat in for a "few" songs, that turned into a couple of hours. A great night.
Not a group I know very well but it has been popping up on all my groups and forums this week so I thought I'd give it a go. Three songs in and not sure about the music but it sounds fantastic in terms of sq. Tidal via Audirvana/Hugo

Wow, Mike. I'm jealous. I've seen Mary B perform live a Guilford a year or so ago but the intimacy of that experience in an Irish pub must have been very special. A memory to treasure.

Have a try of this much older Yello album, David. It's a stunner.
