Delighted to say there are no disappointments with the new album which is once again well measured funky, psychedelic krautrock. Downloaded in 24/44.1 FLAC which was a pleasant surprise as there was no mention of it being in a slightly higher resolution when I pre-ordered. Have a try here on bandcamp.

This reminds me how old I am...and how brilliant my system can sound!

I keep seeing this album mentioned and not having come across them before, i thought i'd place an order and give them a go
James - you may also like this video of the band playing the entire album as kindly pointed out by Jeff Anderson.

Onto something altogether more (traditionally) musical than my last choice.
I bought Carried to Dust & Edge of the Sun on CD some time ago but I see Tidal now has a good selection of their stuff. This one's sounding rather good.

Their new Toy album seems to be getting all the attention recently but this is a real belter. In all that tongue-in-cheek bonkersness are some finely crafted choons.
Its on Tidal.

Sounding great...
Steven Wilson -Transience...on vinyl.
Sample track from her upcoming compilation album of early analogue recorded out-takes from Revival. Tidal.

Less hardcore and "out there" than their previous offerings which were more psychedelic and alternative manic rock, nonetheless this softer edged African influenced world music style drives along very nicely, enjoyable and still unmistakably Goat the Scandi band.
"GOAT’s only outright declaration for Requiem is that it is their “folk” album, and the album is focused more on their subdued bucolic ritualism than psilocybin freakouts. But GOAT hasn’t completely foregone their fiery charms—tracks like “All-Seeing Eye” and “Goatfuzz” conjure the sultry heathen pulsations that ensnared us on their previous albums." - A Reviewer
On CD:-

Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde

If you haven't yet done so, give Hot Rail a go Nick, one of their best early phase albums IMO.

2016 - Tidal...
Playful and engaging album. Beth Gibbons meets Madeleine Peyroux.
Laura Gibson - Empire Builder
Great Friday music. Been listening to this in the car and now on the NDS.

John Martyn - One World
On Vinyl

Big Big Train - Folklore, on vinyl...

The new streamer is sounding wonderful....

2009 - Tidal...
This is just a live version of Karin's impressive solo debut album and new studio material is really overdue.

Rather enjoying Opeth's step back from their very heavy metal past. Sorceress still heavy but more in the prog rock mould, so far so good and sans growling...

Thanks Tony I've never spotted this one live, will she ever make another Fever Ray album I'm not so sure.

I also have my doubts, Steve, although she has released enough individual tracks in the last 7 years (including collaborations with Royksopp and movie soundtracks) to fill a whole album.

Yeah it's good that they stopped growling. While the music was even better in the in the growling period. I think the album is good, while I would like to see more variation.

I couldn't disagree with that Bert. We will have to wait and see how they develop.
Great young talent. Have his first album and now listening now to this one on tidal, haven't found a download option yet...
