Bonkers and amazing pretty much sums up Yello Graham, I've just queued this up to play after Opeth.

1975 -Original vinyl...

Having a listen to sides 3-4 as they always seem to be relegated to second fiddle which is wrong. Some truly great songs there too.

Why? It's time for a skank

I very much agree with your comment re sides 3-4. I have 1975 original, and have just finished listening to Phys Graf remaster, on Tidal. A very different experience, but also highly enjoyable.

Delighted to say there are no disappointments with the new album which is once again well measured funky, psychedelic krautrock. Downloaded in 24/44.1 FLAC which was a pleasant surprise as there was no mention of it being in a slightly higher resolution when I pre-ordered. Have a try here on bandcamp.

Good, isn't it? A touch of Moon Duo in there too.

Basia - London Warsaw New York.

Nice jazzy, poppy album from the late 80's

A mixture of Bob Dylan and the Band, prompted by a re-viewing of Scorcese's the Last Waltz. Can't believe that Rhino are still ready to gouge us with a 40 year anniversary version, although the vinyl looks tempting

552 burning in wonderfully and now acting just like a time machine back to the studio in the 50s or whenever these tracks were cut.

Tracks 9-11, A Night in Tunisia, Rockin' in Rhythm and Honeysuckle Rose.

On previous systems, Ella's scatting has always sounded good, but seemed a little dotty and self indulgent. No longer. On 552, it has obvious validity and beauty. Phenomenal.

I am patiently waiting for the new Murray Perahia Bach recording of the French Suites so what to do but prepare myself.  In the last week or two I have spent many hours listening to such wonderful music but more importantly I seek musicians that have that perfect balance between intellect /knowledge and especially just a simple, pure and natural love of music that is so contagious for me.

IF you share a love of music and Bach, I would say that you must watch this interview of Murray Perahia who just perfectly explains the meaning behind much of this music.  While I entirely respect those who differ in their views and insist on harpsichord only position etc. this video aligns perfectly with my views - it is just a breath of fresh air and relief to listen to musicians who have spent their lives with this music talk about this music so passionately.  This is the only sense that one should take away from the art and craft of playing and experiencing music with freedom but also married with a certain amount of reverence.

Finally got my vinyl copy. It was between shops transfer almost two weeks.

American Band is a Southern liberal's attempt to puzzle through the emulsified white working class alienation and resentment that's been endlessly cited as a force driving the rise of Donald Trump.

Sometim a artistic sometimes drive like Nil Bartsch, will need a couple of runs more, but believe the earlier stuff was more engaging. But the Paul Motion fans might like this more..
