Try this. Very early, and all the better for it.

Laura Shay  -  "Bittersweet"  (2008)  terrific voice backed by acoustic guitar and piano, chamber pop.

Couldn't find Bittersweet on Tidal but I found this:

Laura Shay - Blue Light Session.

I am enjoying it very much. I shall be investigating this artist further.

Good shout Jeff.

Thanks

My favourite Peter Gabriel album. Every song is strong. Good reproduction quality too.

Browsing through my saved Tidal albums...........................this.

Eric Bibb & Habib Koite - Brothers in Bamako.

A lovely melodic collaboration between two accomplished singer / musicians.................not unlike the Ali Farka Toure & Toumani Diabate joint efforts so loved on this forum.

Certainly worth a listen..............highly recommended.

Revisiting the recordings of Brahms' violin concerto on my shelf, I'm struck by the excellence of this performance. A grower.

Cheers

Eric Clapton - I still do

Just wanted to say that for me the stand out track is a sublime version of Dylan's I dreamed I saw St Augustine.  really don't get all this fuss about his failure to acknowledge his Nobel prize for lieterature. Seems we can't tolerate a little eccentricity.

He'll turn up in dark glasses, collect his award and mumble a few words that even the front two rows will struggle to catch, and leave. I salute him for it   :-)

Now for John Wesley Harding

First heard this album quite a few years ago on a 500 series system over at Graham's place (Russell not the shop).

Nice and mellow...
