What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XII)

2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

Joe Bonamassa - Dust Bowl.
Winkyincanada mentioned Joe a few hours ago, so, .......................this....................needs to be LOUD though, I'm afraid.
Original vinyl

Why? The mentions previously of Mr Sumner reminded me I haven't played this in years.

Rachel Harrington

Siouxsie and the Banshees - The Scream On CD
With the additional bonus tracks Hong Kong Garden and The Staircase. A great album made even more complete by the addition of the bonus tracks.

UK first press, purchased yesterday. In lovely condition, complete with insert:

Joe Bonamassa - Blues of Desperation.
Mr. B back to his best with his last studio album................as above, needs to be LOUD though.

Currently playing this all the other titles above were todays listening.
I wish they would release a Deluxe album of Live trax from this tour as this is one of my favourite Live discs.
The amazing Jeff Beck performing this week at Ronnie Scott's.
Earlier this evening..

Interesting guitar jazz from Bandcamp...

Now the final one of the evening. Also guitar jazz, but less groovy more artistic...

Phantogram - "Three" (2016)

1972 - Original vinyl...
Following Ewe's post above.
stumbled upon this while browsing my collection. very long time no play. beautiful! wonder if there is a vinyl version -- if so will seek it out that's for sure...

New vocalist, same soaring guitar riffs and great drum work; prog rock as it should be or at least, how I like it to be!
If you haven't already, you should try this one J. N.

It was not the final decision one before too much effort to keep on listening, so switched to something easy...

I don't think I've ever heard a John Scofield album I didn't like, and this latest effort is no exception :-)

Can't speak to the music (will ck it out on Tidal), but what a killer album cover.

Jack Johnson - Sleep Through The Static
I think this guy is generally underrated. Artfully crafted music. We have several of his records, including this one and they get regular rotation. It doesn't always have to be Porcupine Tree and Pink Floyd.
I'm a big JJ fan... have most of his vinyl. Artfully crafted is a nice way to put it. Always well recorded / mastered as well.

Streaming Tidal 16/44.1

George Thorogood & The Delaware Destroyers - I'm Wanted.
Continuing in a blues / rock vein with the ever consistent George and the boys.

Sara K - Hobo
96/24, sounding fab
