Just played this for the first time since a number of upgrades to my LP12 earlier in the year. Now playing it again. I always enjoyed this album since I used to play it on a Rega Planar 3 many years ago, but I hadn't realised quite how absolutely superb it is!

Enjoying some DS while cooking dinner. This might date from the Seventies but it still feels fresh to me.

Why? Because I love her powerful, rich, vibrant voice.

Some vintage Suzanne Vega. I particularly love the opening song on this - Tom's Dinner.

Or even Tom's diner.

2012 - CD - WAV...

Art cover by Jonathan Barnbrook who did several album artwork for the late David Bowie, including BLackstar, his last album.. Had a listen earlier on to Kelli Ali(Sneaker Pimps - Becoming X) and remembered she also sings on  this on CD, which made me listen to it.

Old vinyl:

Why? If I could answer in Kobaian, I would. I'll settle for, it's that time.

Steve, apparently a 1964 Transcriptor Hydraulic Reference Turntable, built in a 70's cabinet. I think it also appears on A Clock Work Orange.

Because I have to get my Curved Air fix at least once or twice a year. They shone very brightly for perhaps their first three albums if only it could have been for longer.

Now sampling this after a couple of raving reviews I saw, first impressions special bland -  - modern sound..

Just such a stunning and different album, shining out even amongst all the great and very different albums being released at this time.
