2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

Primal Scream - Give Out, But Don't Give Up.
I know I posted this quite recently, but it do rock!

2016 - Tidal...
An eclectic mix of 70s and 90's riffs and raffs beats from Rock to Glam and very upbeat. Quite interesting indeed and worth a listen.
agnes obel - citizen of glass. Tidal. First listen.

Tony2011 posted:james n posted:The poor mans Pearl Jam but i rather like them. This is an album i play when i'm not quite in the mood for the darker and heavier Soundgarden.
Stone Temple Pilots - Core
Their best album James but you already knew that, right? I'd rather listen to the Pilots than Pearl Jam anytime.
The HiRes of this album is terrific quality worth getting if you can.

Thanks for the recommendation, Dan. I don't do HiRes at the moment prefering the hard copy(either Vinyl or CD when available- bit old fashion, you know!
) but things could change one day. Tidal HiFi will have to do the deeds in the meantime. Cheers.
Like Nick running this one again, as mention d before haunting...

Stevn Wison, Hand, cannot, Erase. Worth checking out the story behind this album, personally I love this.

Echoes from this fine album. And it'll be cued up again as soon as the stylus reaches the end of the side.

2016 - Tidal...
The Pretty Reckless - Who You Selling For.

Yep - played this in the car and at home again today - some beautiful music. The story is quite disturbing & I try not to think about it too much when listening to the album. Still Tidalising it so far but I see Qobuz have the 24/96 version for £10.79 hmmm......

Cheers Tony,
Tidalising it right now, though with one eye on the footy.
Now playing this masterpiece. Even though mine is a copy purchased from a dodgy outfit in Tonbridge market during my school days, it still sounds mighty fine.

£10.79 JFDI ![]()
Not 'proper' Genesis I know, and probably as popular on here, with evil Phil involved, as Samsung owning Naim, but I've always rather loved this album. Slightly noisy original vinyl from 1980 and not the best sq but great non the less

This one's been on my Tidal list for a while. Just cracked and picked up a copy for 23p at the usual place. This forum is costing me a fortune ![]()
