Cara Dillon - Cara Dillon

Well this cost a sizeable £1.74 on the river. Not bad for such a beautiful album and such a lovely voice. That's what I call VFM.

My absolute favourite from Metallica which of course is well off piste for the diehards but Michael Kamen and a full SFO bring so much to the table and IMO enhance their music. Arguably they were the first to get the whole symphonic metal "thing" going.

And a purchase inspired by an ewemon post from some days back:

How this outfit on Amazon makes any money shipping this to me for $6.02 from Germany (total cost) is beyond me...even used.

Mahalia Barnes - Riding With the King.............from the Joe Bonamassa live album "Live at the Greek Theatre"

Just bunging this up here to say "What a voice" ................. sensational singer.

New to me, so I guess I'll start tracking down what's available...............sadly, none of her three albums seem to be on Tidal........boo!

Otis Taylor - Hey Joe Opus Red Meat.

This one was deservedly getting lots of plays on here a few weeks ago, so, after further digging, ........................... this

Otis Taylor - White African.

One of Otis' influences is John Lee Hooker, and this album is for all lovers of trance / blues.

Some of the subject matter is quite bleak, but the music is stunning......................I urge you, give it a late night, glass of malt, end of session, listen on Tidal.............................it's superb!
