Starting the listening week off with Disc One.

Correction to the post above where I pasted the wrong version of the back cover.
Before played this one, enjoyable jazz...

Now playing this, decided now to buy it...

Enjoyed "Dreamer in Concert" - hopefully this will be as good !
Not just very tuneful jazz, but also very well recorded...

Wooden Shjips - Self titled titled debut album
Prompted by nickpeacock over on another thread it reminded me to give this very good psychedelic rock band (playing space drone rock) some more listens. Unfortunately Tidal don't have their full back catalogue so I feel some purchases coming on...

Four "proper" studio albums and a couple of collections of early EPs - I have them all and they're all good (the more recent the better, for me). There's also a downloadable Remix EP including Andrew Weatherall's remix of "Crossing", which is well worth a listen.
Ripley Johnson of WS has a side project called Moon Duo - equally good.

Thanks for the quick response Nick. I used to listen to their early music which I liked but I never got around to buying any of it (I'm not to sure why?!) that will soon be put right. I agree with you about Moon Duo. I take it you enjoyed the WS gig at Scala the other night...

Dos' their follow up studio album, more unmistakably West Coast sounding psychedelic rock in a stoner, drone, space rock style. Lovely.

Yes, really good! I'd seen Moon Duo a couple of times but this was my first Wooden Shjips gig. They rock!
Appropriate listening for the 31st...

My favorite John Martyn album. Some great covers, a superb mellow late night mood and great production too.
John Martyn - The Church With One Bell

My second favourite Mac album pipped, only just, by Rumours. This album has lovely 'bounce'.

Eric Bibb - An Evening With......
Another quality live album from the impeccable Eric Bibb.

1970 - Original vinyl...
