2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

This one is for Mike(MDS) although I have the feeling he would rather listen to their follow-up, Benefit.

I find it hard to chose between them Tony. They are both brilliant albums in my view. If I were still into vinyl I think I'd give Stand-Up the tie-breaker on account of the superb sleeve.

Kind of sinister music...

Live excursions.

CV313. Like electronica drone from yesteryear but all grown up, smart dressed, bearded and all sophisticated. Has many children and wives.

(1977)
Disc one, for now, from this legacy edition (released in 2008) that includes Bambu The (Caribou Sessions) as the second album.
Leonard Cohen - Ten New Songs
The first record of his I've owned and most definitely not the last.
Gloriously mellow. Aural Valium. In a good way.

Original vinyl

Why? I was prompted by the earlier post.

Christopher if you are wanting to get into LC music, a good way is to buy the 11 CD box set for around £23 delivered (UK). I think I'm allowed to put this link in:
Thank you Stevee. That looks stonking value.

Had always stepped away from the "free" trio, but I am happy I did buy it while it does require more concentration than normal....

Now, I bet this is something that Bert doesn't own....

Eric Clapton - Sessions for Robert J.
Played some Robert Johnson last night, so ..........this.
A much better prospect than the earlier "Me and Mr Johnson" album, with a stellar band which includes Doyle Bramhall, Billy Preston, Nathan East, Steve Gadd and Chris Stainton....................more or less "live", with little in the way of overdubs.
Also, the accompanying DVD is excellent.
