2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

It certainly is.....................and I'd been thinking all these years that there was only me who liked it.
I like it but haven't played it much.
At the moment, and for some time, this and Fires by Nerina Pallot, are my two go to albums by female artists. I love them both,
Every so often you just have to listen with your heart...

Well, David, I've never heard of this lady but your ranking along with Fires is encouragement enough for me to give it a punt. Mike ![]()
It's difference and unusual Mike but a great album. Hope you enjoy!

Will report back when it arrives and I've had a chance to listen to it.
Getting the Led out. I still prefer Led Zep II but bits of this are beautiful and it sounds gorgeous. 24 bit Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Started off the evening with The Feelgoods live album "Stupidity"...............rock on Wilko!
So, feeling the need to stay front row and centre, another live one.

Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense.
Often lauded as one of the all time great live albums.................can't argue with that.................rock on David & the band.

Reminiscing the great gig last Saturday in Guildford

(1994)
This is pretty much the album where BBT developed their now familiar prog style. The themes of s(better) age gone by in England continue to be lamented in their current albums today, a slightly different line up for the band here but the sound is familiar.
Even now astonishingly good and original

I've put the lack of early PG albums in my collection right with the purchase of PG 1 through to 4.
All ripped and presently enjoying Peter Gabriel 3

Talking Heads - Little Creatures.
Same as it ever was....................![]()

Talking Heads - True Stories.
That's the thing, I find, with Talking Heads ..................once you've started down that road to nowhere, there's no escaping. ![]()
Mind you, they were a bit good, innit?

Last one tonight, and a magical one it is too

Robert Cray, Bad Influence.
"Baby, you got ways to make me do what you want.."
Blyth Power, The Barman and Other Stories. I used to go and see this band regularly many years ago. Great fun folk/rock. On Tidal.

On vinyl. Probably not his greatest effort. The LP in this case is superior to the CD.
Today's arrival from 2002:

This album might have the best version of In Memory of Elizabeth Reed I've heard - really enjoyed this one too as I have fleshed out my ABB collection, inasmuch as they are a top 5 fave band.
