2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

How does that happen Ewen? Official yet never released, did they not think it would sell and therefore not worth the cost of releasing?

I'm also curious. That pic is from his website, one of several. Ewe, and his "contacts", probably know something we mere mortals don't!

Thanks for posting Ewemon.
Haven't played this in donkey's years but was prompted by Dani's post about the Earth Song on the 'What makes you cry?' thread. Crikey, I'd forgotten how good much of MJ's music is. Lovely reproduction quality too.
Although I have this on vinyl I am listening to the superb album on CD rip taken from the Snake Box boxset.
Tidal...
I've only heard one of Ben's LPs before, so I thought I'd try this streaming via Tidal.
Quite different from "By My Side" but enjoyable so far. Will try to make some time to hear some of his other material.
Babysitting my 7 year old God Daugther.

They are a bunch of trax that were recorded at various US and Euro shows that were put together by John but they were never going to be scheduled for release.

Yeah, right!? Just admit it. You just love it , dontcha?
Radio Station only release of a great Boz Scaggs gig at The Supper Club New York promoting Come on Home.
Maybe one day he will release it officially.
Played this before the Beiber album but God Daughter told me it was rubbish and to take it off.

Just the usual teasing then?

Yep it is actually a really good R n B album.
Always said I like to keep an open mind on music.
I think you are going to hear a lot of this album as there are a lot of trax that could be released as singles.

Trust me: I won't!
Still, whatever makes you happy, Ewe.
Take care.
I am sorry Tony I couldn't help it. Ha!!! Ha!!!
Official release.

Now you put on the spot. Which one would make me reach for the bucket first. Tough one!
At first I was rather puzzled by the Wanderer's performance of op. 8, that is until I noticed the 'original version' moniker. The main themes are recognisably similar across the versions; almost everything else is different. Brahms didn't like the original; but I sure do!
Trio Wanderer is again showing how it's done, full of charisma, long breathed melodic lines, and in particular remarkable balancing between the instruments.
Cheers

I bought my first Tartan shirt because of Rory. He was a really friendly nice guy. One of the most down to earth musicians I met.

I like them as well and will definitely acquire this one.
