Some gentle ambient electronica in a longform style from Cousin Silas.
My original vinyl copies, one of my favourite bands. I feel an extensive Procol Harum session looming...

Tony, good to see that, despite your "appreciation of convenience", you still manage(how's that hip doing?) to play some good old fashion vinyl. ![]()
UFO, Too Hot To Handle, working from home and being constantly distracted by how good this band and this album is. Saw them live last week and can't believe I haven't listened to them more over recent years

2014 - Vinyl...
I've never really been a Leonard Cohen fan but have always liked the Jennifer Warnes interpretation of First We Take Manhattan.
I heard some of his stuff on Radio Paradise and really liked it so I downloaded the I'm Your Man album (44KHZ 24 Bits from Qobuz).
The first track is First We Take Manhattan. I was utterly blown away by his original. I sounds so alive and his voice presence is quite astounding.
Frank Zappa, Apostrophe, funny, talented and brilliant. No picture because once again Photobox is playing up

Over time there has been a lot of Sabbath collections good and bad. This one is well worth getting, great sound and all the Ozzy years covered.
On CD
Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell, it's.a toss up which non Ozzie album I prefer between this and Mob Rules. Just brilliant rock music. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
This fantastic soundtrack from Diva a 1981 French thriller film directed by Jean-Jacques Beineix.

Downloaded the above as a 24/96 FLAC from Qobuz, and really enjoying it. This on vinyl next I think:

Off work at the moment after having surgery following a bike crash, so have been having a vinyl afternoon of . . . .

UFO - Obsession
On Vinyl.
A bit of political music:-

Midnight Oil - Diesel and Dust.

Brand new copy of this came in the post today to replace a well used one.
John Martyn - One World
On Vinyl

Primal Scream - Vanishing Point.
I'm on something of a mission of re-discovery of these.
Possibly their most trippy album...................proof that the drugs do work...............well, sometimes.![]()
Now something a little quieter?
Nightwish - Dark Passion Play

Queen - Greatest Hits Volume 1.
I know, I know, ....................... it's not big, and it's not clever............................ but it's awfully good.

Now back to some really great jazz (IMHO I suppose)
