What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XII)

2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
Madonna - Ray of Light. Just browsing upnp files - VERY long time no play. Some great tracks . CD rip.

Ben Watt - "Fever Dream" (2016)
Definitely one of my top albums of the year Jeff. Many plays here - in the house & the car.
Boz Skaggs - Memphis
Very laid back groove, but really smooth and an original vibe.

Wow. Thanks for this. Spinning from Tidal and really liking the first listen...swapped to it from Beck "Morning Phase", kinda goes with tonight's vibe.

The Blue Nile - Hats
Late night romance.
C.

Electronic - Twisted Tenderness
Marr and Sumner; not one I listen to very often
Chris Robinson Brotherhood-If You Lived Here, You Woukd Be Home By Now
Widespread Panic-Everyday
Last album of the night, and as I have been revisiting my youth watching Top Gun, an old favourite album too, Rush and Exit Stage Left. Brilliant live album. 2015 24 bit Flac version via Audirvana/Hugo. I feel the need.......

The Best Of The Guess Who. On vinyl from 1971. Burton Cummings, age 23 at the time of this release, seems masterful beyond his years both vocally and on keyboards. His voice fit the band's signature sound so well. A driving, bluesy funk to their music and the SQ is superb throughout.

Umbra | ARC
(2014)
Because ARC (Ian Boddy and Mark Shreeve) are one of my favourite "modern" bands playing Berlin School electronica on the scene today. This one is from the E-Live festival in Oirschot, the Netherlands on 19th October 2013.
A bit in the style of the Robert Glasper Experiment, not to sure if it's my style...

Something pleasant and gentle to start the evening with.
Not seen that cover artwork for No Frontiers before.
^ I assume you have this cover Mike which seems to have been used when it was reissued, reprinted (or whatever?) in 1992 on both Vinyl and CD. As far as I can see on Discogs the album cover I have is the one it was originally issued with in the 80s. There again I could be totally wrong on that but have a look here at Discogs who are usually pretty accurate.

What with Dylan, Stevie Nicks and Neil Young, I though that was the end of your recent jazz retrospective. You've certainly been digging out some gems (some of which are quite obscure) which have influenced my choices recently.

For people who like music with a good groove, it might be just what you are looking for. I notice while it's not my style, I also didn't yet switch to something else...
