2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
1st run, indeed interesting piano sound...

Last night was one of those nights where my system was just singing..me as well after too much wine and single malts...hic!
Today a slower pace but the music continues, in fact thats all i intend to do.

Something pleasant and gentle to start the evening with.
Not seen that cover artwork for No Frontiers before.
^ I assume you have this cover Mike which seems to have been used when it was reissued, reprinted (or whatever?) in 1992 on both Vinyl and CD. As far as I can see on Discogs the album cover I have is the one it was originally issued with in the 80s. There again I could be totally wrong on that but have a look here at Discogs who are usually pretty accurate.

Yep. That's the cover I have Steve. Had the album for many, many years and didn't know it wasn't the original cover. You learn something new every day

Borders Nick posted:Madonna - Ray of Light. Just browsing upnp files - VERY long time no play. Some great tracks . CD rip.
I think the track Frozen on that album is stunning. The bass is a real challenge for a system.
Rolling Stones - Tattoo You
I had a need for some open G riffing.

This classic. With superb sound quality in well mixed stereo, it's hard to believe that this was recorded in October 1958 - Moanin by Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers.

Photobucket doesn't work,........again.....
Cannonball Adderley in Chicago...
McKinley Dorham - Whistle Stop. Despite Richard Cook's assertion in the Penguin Guide that he was runnin out of steam by this date, personally I find this to be a most satisfying musical experience.

Barry Gibb - "In The Now" (2016)

Apart from sounding like he's got new teeth, we're really enjoying this album.

Jim James (My Morning Jacket) - Eternally Even
Queen, A day At The Races, feel like a bit of a Queen weekend

I couldn't play that in my system at the time the Linn Keosas just boomed. SBLs were the cure.

JW in bombastic/delicate mode by turn. I really like this album.

(CD) 1999 release.
Beautiful. Have listened to this several times since receiving it on Wednesday.

Alicia Keys - "HERE" (2016)
Challenging listening, this one.

2016 - Tidal...
The little pixie is back with a great new album and if you're a fan of her solo or Mazzy Star albums you won't be disappointed.

Bear's Den - "Red Earth & Pouring Rain" (2016)

The Best Of Jefferson Airplane On CD
Really evokes a bygone age
