2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

1968 - Original vinyl - Mono...

Jim Moray - Upcetera - Tidal.
Folk with a hint of electronica...........and superb production....................sounds stunning.

1968 - Original vinyl - Mono...
Marianne Faithfull - Easy come, Easy go
Great jazzy, blues voice and with guest appearances from Keith etc.
C.

George Duke - Face the Music.
As the late great Eric Morcombe would say, 'this is a belter'.
Unlike Eric's attempt to play the piano however, George does indeed play all the right notes and in the right order. ![]()
It's on Tidal by the way.

Just in the mood for this excellent debut solo album from Riverside's lead guitarist and songwriter Bjorn Riis.
I think i shall join you with this, queuing it up now.
Edit, Stevee it's Airbags Lead guitarist and song writer
Thanks for correcting my mistake Simon and another thanks for putting me on to him last year . ![]()
Interesting, good laid back album...

Stevie Nicks - "In Your Dreams" (2011)

Mindy Smith - "Mindy Smith" (2012)

Betty Harris - The Lost Queen of New Orleans Soul.
Truly, one of the great soul singers.....................hugely underrated, IMHO.
Pat Metheny 'Travels' original vinyl released in 1983. Still sounding superb, in fact better than I ever recall. Who would have thought this is 33 years old?!

Sarah McLachlan - "Afterglow" (2003)

(1967)
Coming up for its half century very shortly.

And how are your pressings, Graham? I recall the issues Jim had recently with his last MM Lee Morgan and Thad Jones discs. Hope yours are of quality for which they earned their reputation.
Meat Loaf, Bat Out Of Hell, one of the albums that got me into rock music. Still has some magic but the SQ really does let it down a bit. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

(1968)
Time to queue up one more...their third.

M. Ward - "Post War" (2006)
Close to a perfect album, in my view and easily my favourite Lizzy album. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo

Brian Eno - Music for Airports
A late night, ambient vibe.

Thanks for posting. I will follow you and stream from TIDAL.
Jimmy Durante - As Time Goes By, the best of.
fabulous schmaltz for this time of night. Proof, if ever there was'that it's not about purity of voice as much as the emotion behind the lyrics. As Jimmy famously once said with a straight face " Sometimes I sing so pretty, I make myself cry"

Bryan Terfel sings favourites. Shenandoah. Staying with Schmaltz. Last track before bed.
