2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;

Jonny Lang - Wander This World.
This is his second album, Grammy nominated, and which he cut at the age of 17.
Normally, you'd like to say that an artist has matured nicely, but he had it all at 17 years old, ........................ in fact, earlier than that, since his debut album "Lie to Me", went Platinum, and he was only 15 at the time! ![]()

Fantastic Album
On Vinyl

Jonny Lang - Lie to Me.
Since I mentioned him above, here's the first album.
15 years old? ........................how mad is that?
Apparently, nowadays, he can't bear to listen to listen to these first two albums....................."it'd be like looking at your old school reports"............................how many of us do that? ....................not me, for sure. ![]()
A+ | Tidal

(2014)
Playing tracks 20-40 ![]()

On Vinyl
Last of the night.........Back tomorrow
A wonderful new discovery...

Just because it's not been played for a long time
The Police - Synchronicity

Streaming Qobuz.

Talking Heads official Live album for Radio stations only (well at the time)

A brilliant disc, which received a fair amount of press for Capucon's and Buniatishvili's inspired partnership.
Cheers

Beck-Morning Phase
A+ | Tidal

(2010)
A bit of remixed Toby Marks to finish off with. I've not listened to the Apollo remix before and Tidal just happen to have it on tap.
Ben Harper-The Will To Live

One of Sir Roland Hanna's last recordings prior to his death at the end of 2002 was this session for the Japanese Venus label. With seven of the 12 songs incorporating the word "dream" in their titles, it seemed to be a fitting title for the CD.

On vinyl.

Prologue has parallels with recent USA elections?
Ben Folds - Lonely Avenue
Ben's music to Nick Hornby's words. An uplifting start to a week off.

Had a bit of a session yesterday with my new (to me) speakers
Just like the old days !

All on vinyl
Putting them away realised - a bit of a mixture - but great afternoon !!!

Simple Minds - Acoustic . I was a huge fan throughout the 80s and this was a rather nostalgic purchase , it arrived over the weekend and its playing now trying to put a few hours on new ATCs . Simple Minds always were a great live band and this suits them perfectly , definitely worth a listen if you are a fan .
My favourite Duke. On a fine-sounding CBS CD:

Leon Russell - "Leon Russell" (1970) with respect. this was in heavy rotation 46 years ago. good day for some Leon-related music.
