I still think that its their best to date, Simon.

Diana Krall - Wallflower, The Complete Sessions

One of my favourite artists and this is the first time I have listened to this - shame on me! Wonderful stuff even though these are purely covers. Some great guest artists make an appearance. Do track down 'The Complete Sessions' version of the album though as it has some wonderful additional....err.....tracks.

This version of the album is on Tidal with the other versions too.

I agree, I really like all of their albums but this is the go to one.

Aoife O'Donovan - Fossils

Another artist I discovered on here. Very nice.

Poor Aoife, appears to be having a bad hair day.

Guess what? It's on Tidal!

Brahms for a balmy afternoon. 70F outside and I am getting ready to sit on the tractor and mow the grass for the last time in 2016.

"Cellist Zuill Bailey and pianist Awadagin Pratt do a remarkable job finding a pleasing middle ground between the piano completely dominating the cello or playing with such submission that richness of the score is lost. On this Telarc album, listeners have the surprisingly rare ability to hear every note in both parts. Pratt's playing is marvelously intricate, supple, and sensitive; Bailey tones down his often bravura playing and gives a performance filled with velvety, dark tone colors." (ALLMUSIC)

'Composer of the Week' on BBC Radio 3 FM. This week it's my favourite jazz pianist, Bill Evans.

Nigel, I also like DK, could you recommend to me another album in addition to this one ? I have: Christmas Songs, Love Scenes, Quiet Nights,The Very Best Of .., When I Look In Your Eyes.

Try A Night in Paris. She can be rather dry and emotionless, but not on this album. If you like female jazz singers, try Stacey Kent.

I thought I had A Night In Paris, but looking for it I found another one I have: Glad Rag Doll. Everyday I find holes in my music catalog. May be I bought A Night In Paris as a gift for somebody.

Yes, I like Female Vocalists and have a list of almost 400 (no all of them Jazz) , and at least one album from almost 100 of them (Vinyl, CD, or HDF).

I also like Stacey Kent, I have The Changing Lights (HD).

One of my favourites albums - It's not been played for a few weeks due to a lot of new purchases so it's getting its turn tonight.

Talk Talk - Spirit of Eden
