Dire Straits, Love Over Gold, I know it's a bit uncool to like these now, despite all their millions of sales over the years, but it's still damned good music so I don't really care.  Flac via Audirvana/Hugo.

Not uncool to me

Ms Krall's music is still new to me. And I'm enjoying it.

Michael Burks - Make It Rain.

Top electric blues from this guy, sadly, no longer with us.

UK first pressing from 1977. Not all of this live double LP (recorded in 1976) is worth listening to - I'm looking at you, soppy ballads - but that which is, is pretty awesome. Great bass playing too...

Continuing the jazz theme but with another lovely lady.

Howard Eliot Payne - Bright Light Ballads.

One recommended by Jeff Anderson earlier on here. I am liking it.

Nice one Jeff.

I don't think one ever needs a reason to be playing this album particularly tonight.

From one master of the stinging guitar line (Albert Collins) to another: the late, and very, very great, Johnny Guitar Watson. This (UK first press) isn't one of his finest, but it's still a goodie, and like all his 1970s albums has a great title and a great cover:
