2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
Have been listening to this. One of the better progressive rock/metal, post rock outings of this year. From Bandcamp - recommended....
Later listen to Gerard Masters Trio. A good jazz trio. The attached video doesn't do so much right to his recent work. Also from bandcamp

Thanks for the tip, never heard of him..., but will give it a try. I do also have myself different versions of the same music f.i. Marc Andre Hamelin...

I was aware that you have more than one, and for sure MAH.
2016 - Tidal...
Raw and chaotic like the news and the world he's " singing" about and trying to portrait.
The critics hate it, I love it!
2016 - Tidal...
Blues Pills - Lady In Gold.
Bear's Den - "Islands" (2014)
Fernando - "Leave The Radio On" (2015)
A+ | Transcoded DSD
(2011)
I haven't played much by Joe lately so this is getting an airing.
Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell - "The Traveling Kind" (2015)

Yes Tony, the SQ is amazing - good choice of tunes too, and the arrangements are great. You can pick up a lot of her vinyl pretty cheaply, she's not hugely in fashion at the moment...
Carrie Underwood - "Storyteller" (2015)
This beautiful album on vinyl that arrived today....
This afternoon's work accompaniment...
Yello: Toy
Ryan Adams: Heartbreaker
Seasick Steve: Man From Another Time
Suzanne Vega: Solitude Standing
Gerry Rafferty - City to City.
A gentle start to the evening's listening ..................... a classic.
First play of the recently released 3LP version of this great live album. The greatest rhythm section in rock 'n' roll history sounding very realistic indeed.
I have to confess that I have touched the ugly season topic with this album, it will not happen often anymore.....
A little bit of festive Jazz....
