It's a great album, Gian.  Not a great fun of country music per se but this is quite bluesy. The opening track, The Weekend, is also my favourite. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a bit of pure bluegrass.

Original vinyl

Why? The mention earlier in the thread jogged my memory.

Astonishingly well-recorded 1960 comeback album from the King. This is the 1997 all-analogue reissue on DCC, and his presence is palpable (especially on "Fever").

Why? Kevin posted an album by Colour Box, which got me thinking of The Colourfield. I've not heard it since about 1990 and it's now been re released on CD. Not the greatest recording it's true, but it is very good and so takes me back to when I was young, doing my PhD and spending hours on end watching fish in the dark under infra red lighting.

One of Eno's great albums or to give him his full name, Brian Peter George St John Le Baptiste de la Salle Eno.

Ha Stevee - was just playing some Eno myself - this on reissue vinyl:

Kuma made a similar remark when I first played it a couple of years  ago. The music does make up for it though and I promise l won't play it again for another couple of years.

It is a TERRIBLE cover Tony, but nowhere near as bad as that May Blitz album you occasionally post. That may be one of the worst covers I have ever seen...

This is another terrific album from the cheap five album box on Qobuz, with the wonderful Bobo Stenson on piano.

Yep, that May Blitz is another corker musically but the cover gives you nightmares!

I  didn't know that any of the Gillan Welch/Dave Rawlings albums had been on vinyl. They have said recently that they will be putting out the back catalogue on vinyl, but they said they would do that some years ago and it hasn't happened. I must say that I prefer the Gillian Welch brand offerings over the Dave Rawlings ones.

Don't worry, Kev. I always had problems bringing girls around to meet my parents. I never understood why?
