Never heard it, probably never will, but whenever I see this posted have to think what a brilliant, artistic cover shot?
Joe,
I don't think she's your cup of tea judging by your taste in music posted here. Despite comparisons with KB, PJ and others, I think she does her own stuff and has collaborated with a few like-minded people. This is my favourite of her four albums, including her 2016 The Bride, which I was not very keen on.
...and yes, its is a great cover.
2016 - Vinyl..
Impulsive buy after a quick visit to my local Naim dealer.
Stockholm Syndrome - "Apollo" (2011)
from amazon: "Stockholm Syndrome's second studio album, Apollo, is a potent brew of provocative songs and thrilling, genre-transcending musicianship. A collaboration of Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools and acclaimed songwriter Jerry Joseph backed by Dream Team - Eric McFadden, Danny Louis, and Wally Ingram- this project further confirms Stockholm Syndrome as an original band independent of its' members prior accomplishments".

Hi Tony, This lady sounds interesting, beautiful jazzy voice. Is the track you posted representative of the album, also noticed that she is on Blue Note CD or Vinyl?

Graham,
I paid £22 for it on vinyl(BN) but it is also available on CD. It was produced by Larry Klein ( J. Mitchell, M Peyroux and M. Gardot) and SQ is excellent. It's quite jazzy and upbeat, most of the album.
Hope you're well.

Tony, I only have the Two Suns 2009 album and think its really interesting - how does The Haunted Man compare? Certainly get the Kate Bush comparison with narratives running through the work.

I think it's a lot more polished and personal than Two Suns. Just have a listen to Daniel and Laura and you'll see what I mean.
Saw them live as a pre band before Depeche Mode 1988

Thanks Tony, I'll have a quick blast on Qobuz and see if there's a high res version out there...

Great music once again from Maynard James Keenan of Tool but I'll leave the description to someone else. 'Tis on Tidal and very much worth a listen when in the mood to dip in.
"Conditions of My Parole is the second full length studio album from Puscifer, a side project by Tool/A Perfect Circle frontman Maynard James Keenan. This album changes direction and deviates from Puscifer's debut, "V" is for Vagina, but leaves some of the elements still intact. As with most releases from Maynard James Keenan, to put this album into a single genre is damn near impossible. It dishes out electronic sounds blended with rock with a taste of the American Southwest all rolled into a single album."
Peter Gabriel - So...
On 200g vinyl...
On vinyl, sounding great!
This is a wonderful record, beautifully played and a stunning recording. The interplay of the due violini is just stunning.

As you like Tracey's music, have you read her Bedsit Disco Queen book? It's very good indeed.
Diana Krall - Love Scenes.
Because I wanted to relax and what better way than a listen to this.
Genesis - Wind & Wuthering. The last Genesis album on which Phil Hackett played.
Swiftly followed by 'Selling England by the Pound' - original vinyl.
There's a job for you in the fire escape trade...
