2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
Nice restful music, some offputting creaks and groans from the piano stool, but excellent all the same
Some good old Horowitz....
Companion disc. St. Tristan's Sword is a great track.
Original vinyl...
For me new music, quite interesting......., happy it was part of one of this collection the mono years of Decca...

Phil Collins
Both Sides (Deluxe Edition)
The sublime Natalie Merchant
Helen Watson, Blue Slipper, imho one of the smoothest female voices ever. Beautiful, brilliantly recorded bluesy soul music. Wonderful. Flac via Audirvana/Hugo
Priceless, despite the fact that used copies are going on Amazon for 47 cents.

Some early Tangerine Dream that I don't listen to very much these days.
Tidal:-
LEAH - Of Earth and Angels.
Jon Honeyball brought the box set over to Foot Tapper's place on Saturday; a lovely, sumptuous presentation. I bought the BluRay & currently enjoying the 24/96 stereo rip. Rather fine!

One for you, Haim
This is a wonderful triple CD of re-recordings and updates, with a stripped down backing. I prefer many of the versions to the more elaborate originals.

Sometimes I find I don't give box sets enough listens, they can be a bit overwhelming. This is an exceptional collection from a very underappreciated artist.

That's a great album! Kirsty was wonderful, and killed in awful circumstances. I must play the album....

Two very good guitar players who know how to get the feet tapping when they want to, nice album that can't help but make you smile.
