What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol. XII)

2016 has arrived today, so time to start this thread afresh.
Last year's thread (and links to previous years) can be found here;
1996 - CD (WAV)...
Very fine compilation of Steely Dan classics
CD Rip
George Thorogood and the Destroyers - The Baddest Of.
Enough with the mellowness already, time to rock, so this, ................. LOUD!
Log burner blazing and this playing - very pleasant combination. Tidal.
Lady Maisery - Weave & Spin
1994 - CD (WAV)...
Not as popular for me as the famous Anderson, Brufford ...album, but still good and interesting music....
Fifth, and according to her website, last entry in Uchida's series of Mozart concertos with the Cleveland, played and directed from the keyboard. As before, these are live recordings, in crystal clear and transparent sound, and with applause cut.
Uchida's style has evolved significantly since she first recorded these works with Jeffrey Tate and the English Chamber Orchestra, and her style now is much more robust, big, and romantically inclined, and her interpretations have also deepened and become more persuasive, perhaps also more inspired. While the first cycle remains for me unsurpassed in its filigree beauty and micro contrast , these new bolder recordings are great, too.
Cheers

Is your copy the 80s mono version, Steve?
Yes Tony.
Maybe I should get a stereo version to see the difference.,,

I have the 78 mono pressing and it is pretty good. Stick to the mono. That's how god intended.
Status Quo - Rocking All Over the Years.
Well, we've had acoustic Quo, so it seems churlish not to give this one a blast ................ at FULL power.
Rock on.
Because she sounds as good as she looks!

Cracking album, her best IMHO.
John Mellencamp - No Better than This.
Enjoying this mono recording at low-ish volume so I don't get into trouble (I may give it a good blast tomorrow though )

This was released 3 Years ago. I really hope they have it in them to follow this up to the same standard. That is if they are still together?
Fantastic album....Strong is a sublime track
